Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 4, 2026

1. Introduction

Mailsie ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Mailsie Chrome Extension and the website www.mailsie.eu. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our services.

2. Information We Collect

Account information — when you sign up or log in (including via Google OAuth) we collect your name, email address, and profile picture.

Extracted data — the extension extracts publicly available email addresses and social-media profile links from web pages you visit. This data is processed locally in your browser and is only sent to our servers when you explicitly choose to save or export it.

Usage data — we may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics such as feature usage counts and error logs to improve the product.

Payment information — if you purchase a premium plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit-card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Mailsie extension and related services.
  • To authenticate your account and manage your subscription.
  • To sync extracted leads with third-party CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive) or webhooks (Zapier, Make) when you explicitly enable an integration.
  • To send transactional emails such as password resets and subscription receipts.
  • To respond to support requests.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers and protected with industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).

5. Third-Party Services

We may share data with the following categories of third-party services, only as necessary to operate Mailsie:

  • Authentication — Google OAuth for sign-in.
  • Payments — Stripe for processing subscriptions.
  • CRM integrations — Salesforce, HubSpot, and Pipedrive, only when you connect them.
  • Automation — Zapier and Make webhooks, only when you configure them.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel for anonymous website analytics.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

6. Browser Permissions

The Mailsie Chrome Extension requests the following permissions:

  • Storage — to persist your settings and extracted leads locally.
  • Identity — to enable Google OAuth sign-in.
  • Notifications — to alert you when extraction or CRM sync tasks complete.
  • Alarms — to schedule background tasks such as token refresh and sync retries.
  • Host permissions — to read page content for email extraction and to communicate with our API and integrated CRM services.

7. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel) for anonymous usage analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@mailsie.eu.

9. Children's Privacy

Mailsie is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above.
